Logro, fracaso, aspiración: Tres intentos de entender el arte contemporáneo

In the three conference papers comprising this book, Professor John Rapko (UC Berkeley) deals with problems of contemporary art, focusing on the works of William Kentridge, Adel Abdessemed and John Cage, he presents his idea of achievement, failure and aspiration in contemporary art. The three conferences were presented Feb. 24-26, 2009 in the Universidad de los Andes. The titles were "Kentridge: Inventing a Medium and Politics" (24), "Contemporary Art and evil: The Uses of Slaughter" (25) and "Ecological poetics in Contemporary Art" (26).
