>ermanent residence in 1989 (Attached hereto as Annex "A" is a copy of petitioner's Alien Certificate of Registration as permanent resident duly issued by the Bureau of Immigration).

9. Prior to the date of filing of this petition, petitioner has been residing in the City of Manila within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court for a period of more than 30 years.

10. Petitioner can speak and write Pilipino and English.

11. Petitioner is a bonafide merchant who derives an average annual gross income of P3,884,666.66.

12. Petitioner has enrolled and binds himself to continue enrolling his children in school recognized by the Philippine Government, where Philippine history, government and civics are taught as part of the school curriculum.

13. Petitioner believes in the principles underlying the Philippine Constitution; is of good moral character and has conducted himself in a proper and irreproachable manner during the entire period of his residence in the Philippines in his relations with the constituted government as well as with the community in which he lives; has mingled socially with Filipinos, and has evinced a genuine desire to learn and embrace the customs, traditions, and ideas of the Filipinos.

14 Petitioner is not opposed to organized government nor affiliated affiliated with any association or group of persons who uphold and teach doctrines opposing all organized government; he does not defend nor teach the necessity or propriety of violence, personal assault, or assassination for the success and predominance of their ideas; he is not a polygamist or a believer in polygamy or in the practice of polygamy; he has never been convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude; he is not suffering from mental ailment or incurable contagious diseases; and he is not a citizen or subject of a nation at war with the Philippines;

15. Petitioner is exempt from the requirement of filing a declaration of intention for the following reasons;

a) Petitioner has continuously resided in the Philippines for a period of at least thirty (30) years prior to the filing of the present petition.

b) Petitioner has received his primary and secondary education in a school recognized by the Government of the Philippines not limited to any race or nationality;

16. It is petitioner's intention in good faith to become a Citizen of the Philippines and to renounce absolutely and forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign state of sovereignty, if this petition is granted, and particularly to Britain to which at this time he is a subject and that he will reside continuously in the Philippines from the date of the filing of this petition up to the time of his admission to Philippine citizenship;

17. Petitioner has not heretofore filed any petition for citizenship before any court.

18. The following persons, namely, Emilio Teng and Albert Yung, who are both of legal ages, Filipinos and residing respectively at 119 H. Lopez, Balut, Tondo, Manila and Block 4 Lot 9 Piña-Santol Subdivision, Sta. Mesa, Manila will appear the testify as witnesses at the hearing of this petition.

19. In support of the present petition, petitioner has hereto attached to form integral part hereof the following:

3. I personally know Kin Hing Tia also known by his nickname Tommy.

3.1. He is my friend since 1989.

3.2. We often meet and socialize with each other by reason of our acquaintance and friendship and also because of some business transaction;

3.3. I personally know that Tommy Kin Hing Tia has reside in the Philippines and lived in our community for more than twenty (20) years;

4. Kin Hing Tia is of good moral character and is morally irreproachable.

4.1. Kin Hing Tia is married to Ana, a Filipina, and has always been faithful to her.

5. Tommy Kin Hing Tia has a lawful occupation in the Philippines. He was the former President and currently a director and co-chairman of the Board of Omico Corporation, a listed mining company. I have never known Tommy to be one who has financial problems nor has he been remiss in the support of his family.

6. Having known Tommy for more than Twenty (20) years, I personally know that Tommy is able to speak, read and write English. However we communicate in Tagalog most of the time.

7. Tommy now has four children who are of minor age. They are namely: Tiffany Ko Tia, who was born on 17 August 1995, Timothy Ko Tia who was born on 09 February 1997, Trumpmy Ko Tia who was born on 06 August 1999 and Trumaine Ko Tia who was born on 16 March 2001.

8. In all the years of my having known Tommy, or more than Twenty (20) years to date, I know for a fact that he has not opposed the government nor affiliated himself with those who may have done so, Tommy is against violence as he is a man of peace and a simple businessman, he does not believe nor espouse polygamy as he is a one woman man and has never been convicted of any crime, he is of sound mind and has in fact imbibed in himself the ways, traditions and ideals of a Filipino.

1. I am a Filipino citizen being born in the Philippines on September 15, 1964 of Filipino parent;

2. I am an Architect and a businessman.

3. I personally know KIN HING TIA also known by his nickname Tommy.

3.1. He is my childhood friend and classmate since 1977;

3.2. We often meet and socialize with each other by reason of our long acquaintance and friendship and also because of some business transactions;

3.3. I personally know that Tommy Kin Hing Tia has reside in the Philippines and lived in our community for more than thirty (30) years;

5.1. Kin Hing Tia is married to Ko Mei Nga, a Filipina, and has always been faithful to her.

I have never known Tommy to be one who has financial problems nor has he been remiss in the support of his family.

10. Tommy migrated to the Philippines in 1972 when he was just 9 years old and has resided herein ever since.
