Transportation Act of 1940: This Supplement was on the press (except for Table of Cases and Index) when the Transportation Act of 1940 was approved, September 18, 1940. It includes therefore decisions and reports under statutes administered prior thereto, insofar as decisions and reports were issued prior to date of going to press.

Rules of Practice: Inasmuch as the Rules of Practice are being revised, they are not included herein. Reference thereto in the Index is to the Rules which have heretofore been separately distributed and published in the 1930 and 1934

Annotations.

United States Code Titles: As the Interstate Commerce Act, Motor Carrier Act of 1935, certain other provisions, are in Title 49, Transportation, in the United States Code, reference to Title 49 is not made in the Table of Cases or Index.

Acts in Title 49 appear herein numerically, as § 1 (1), § 1 (2), etc., followed by the Motor Carrier Act, § 201-§ 227, Elkins Act, Hoch-Smith Resolution § 55, etc. When the item referred to arises under any other Title of the United States Code, the proper Title number is shown.
