This book concerns the largest collection of Asian Portuguese creole folk literature that has been located to-date. The nineteenth century. Indo-Portuguese manuscript in the British Museum, London, forms part of the Hugn Nevill Collection of Manuscripts form Sri Lanka. The book also provides an insight into the interacting knowledge systems of two cultures: the Portuguese and the Sri Lankans.
