§ 2221. Copies of all deeds, bonds, documents, or papers filed in the office of the treasurer, and transcripts from the books or records kept therein, certified by him, shall be evidence equally and in like manner as the originals.

§ 2231. The description of the seal of the state of Oregon shall be an escutcheon, supported by thirtydescription of. three stars, and divided by an ordinary, with the inscription, "The Union." § 2237. If any assessor willfully refuses or neglects to perform any duty required of him by this chapter, he shall forfeit a sum not exceeding five hundred dollars, and if he is guilty of willful deceit or falsehood in the discharge of his duty, he shall forfeit a sum not exceeding two thousand dollars. Any clerk who willfully refuses or neglects to perform the duty required of him by this chapter, shall forfeit not exceeding one thousand dollars.

§ 2238. It shall be the duty of assessors to enter upon the discharge of their duties on or before the tenth day of May of each year in which they are required to comply with the provisions of this act.
