Here lieth the Bodies of Thomas Afkwith and Anne his Wife, late of this City of Yorke, and fometime one of the Sheriffs of the fame City. Which Thomas was born at Potgrange, who, * Sic in Orig. in in the 71ft Year of his Age, and the 29th of Auguft, 1609, departed this Life, leaving behind him two Sons and one Daughter, viz. Chriftopher and Alice, whom he had by Urfula Sandwich, Daughter to Robert Sandwich, of this City, Brewer; and Thomas, whom he had by the fame Anne, and Daughterto Robert Ellerker, of Thoulthorpe, Gent. being in. their Time, for good Hofpitality and other laudable. Near this Place lies, in Hope of a bleffed Refurrection, the Body of Mrs. Elizabeth Bath, Relict of Captain-Lieutenant Bath, of Brigadier Stanwix's Regiment of Foot, (who died in the Inland of Minorca, Sept. 16, 1718) Daughter of Mr. William Parker, of this City, Engraver, by Elizabeth, Daughter of Mr. William Oliver, of Pocklington. She was a Person of excellent Accomplishments both of Body and Mind, and adorned the feveral Stations of Life he went thro'; and after a long and fevere Tryal, chearfully refigned her Breath in Hopes of a bleffed Refurrection, Jan. 24, 1724, aetatis fuae 42.
