October 30, 1762, he was elected High Steward of the Corporation of Plymouth, and about the fame Time preferred to be Vice-Admiral of the Blue.

In this and the three preceding Summers he made a Tour to different Parts of England, and was every where received with the Respect due to his Rank.

In September 1763, his Royal Highness fet out on his Travels, and vifited Lisbon, Gibraltar, Portmahon, Genoa, Italy, and returned through France.

On July 7, 1767, his Royal Highness fet out for Aixla-Chapelle, vifited the King of Pruffia, and feveral Courts in Germany; and on the 27th was at the Court of France, where he was magnificently entertained. From thence proceeding to Monaco, Capital of the Principality of that Name, in the Territories of Genoa, in Upper-Italy, he was there feized with a malignant Fever, of which he died on the 7th of September. The Prince of Monaco difplayed every Honour to his Remains, which, after being embalmed, were conveyed to England, and interred in the Royal Vault in Henry VIIth's Chapel, with the accustomed Solemnity,
