Thorpe Salvin is a perpetual curacy thirteen miles S.W. of Bawtry. The church is dedicated to St. Peter, and contains a very curious font, and an ancient door-way, engravings of which may be found in Hunter's South Yorkshire. The living is known as a peculiar. It, with that of Wales, is annexed to the vicarage of Laughton-en-leMorthen. The Rev. G. Osborne Browne, Shireoaks, died soon after sending us the MS. copy.
