§ 36.6-3 Experience required for license as pilot—T/B.

CODIFICATION: By Regulation, Acting Commandant, Feb. 15, 1945, 10 F.R. 2037, § 36.6-3 was amended as follows:

1. In paragraph (a) the word "inspectors" was amended to read "Officers in Charge, Marine Inspection".

2. In paragraph (c) the phrase "local inspectors" was amended to read "Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection"; the word "themselves" was changed to "himself".

§ 36.6-4 Engineers of steam vessels— T/B.

§ 37.1-7 Disengaging apparatusTB/ALL. Lifeboats shall be fitted with suitable disengaging apparatus. Mechanical disengaging apparatus shall be of a type approved by the Commandant. Not more than one type of releasing gear shall be fitted in the lifeboats of a particular vessel. (R. § 37.9-1 Automatic electric water lights-TB/ALL. The automatic electric water light shall comply with the U. S. Coast Guard Specification for Lights (Water); Electric, Floating, Automatic (with Bracket for Mounting):' No battery cell shall remain in the water light after seventeen (17) months beyond the date of manufacture appearing on the cell or its jacket. Approved electric water lights not conforming to the above referred-to specification which are on board vessels prior to July 1, 1946, may be continued in service provided they are in good and serviceable condition; water lights replaced on and after July 1, 1946, shall comply with the requirements contained in this section.
