the Constitutional prohibition on accepting anything of value from a foreign government unless it is authorized by the Foreign Gifts Act and the implementing regulations. (5 U.S.C. 7342; 22 C.F. R. Part 3)

prohibited personnel practices which include but are not limited to discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, handicapping condition, marital status, or political affiliation. (5 U.S.C. 2302)

the prohibition against fraud or false statements in a Government matter. (18 U.S.C. 1001)

the requirement that a federal employee refer any known prima facie violation of a federal criminal statute by another federal employee to the Attorney General or other appropriate authority. (28 U.S.C. 535)

Finally, there are also statutes containing the restrictions on political activity while serving in the government. These include the prohibitions on

taking an active part in partisan political management or political campaigns unless you are in a position specifically exempt from these restrictions (Hatch Act 5 U.S.C. 7324(d))

the solicitation or receipt of a political contribution from one federal employee to another. (18 U.S.C. 602)

the giving or handling over of a political contribution by one Federal employee to another. (18 U.S.C. 607)

the solicitation or receipt of anything of value either for personal reward or as a political contribution, in return for the promise to use, or the use of, influence to secure an appointive office. (18 U.S.C. 211)

the promise of employment, compensation or their benefits made possible by an act of Congress as consideration or reward for political activitiy (18 U.S.C. 600)

discrimination by a Federal employee in favor of or against another officer or. employee on account of political contributions. (18 U.S.C. 606)
