To keep (in the case of standard, FM, noncommercial educational FM, and television broadcast stations) program, operating, and maintenance logs; and (in the case of international radio stations) program and operating logs, including rough logs and transcribed portions thereof.

Retention period: 2 years: Provided, however, That logs involving communications incident to a disaster or which include communications incident to or involved in an investigation by the Commission and concerning which the licensees or permittees have been notified, shall be retained until they are specifically authorized in writing by the Commission to destroy them: Provided, further, That logs incident to or involved in any claim or complaint of which the licensees or permittees have been notified shall be retained until such claim or complaint has been fully satisfied or
