SPECIAL PROCEEDINGS CASE NO. SP051-12MN.-In The Matter of the Petition to be naturalized as Filipino Citizen.

JON PATRICK ANG YAO, Petitioner

AMENDED ORDER

This is a verified petition for naturalization filed by the petitioner Jon Patrick Ang Yao.

Petition alleges inter alia:

That he is 24 years old having been born on June 8, 1987 at Manila, Philippines to spouses Chuan C. Yao Jr. and Gloria Ang, both Chinese citizens, that he is a citizen of the People's Republic of China under whose laws Filipinos may become naturalized citizens; that his place of residence is at No. 29-A Araneta Avenue, Malabon, Metro Manila, Philippines since childhood where he continuously resided therein for a period of more than twenty five (25) years prior to the filing of this petition; that he finished his

elementary and secondary education at Chiang Kai Shek College in Tondo, Manila and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Specialization in Software Technology at De La Salle University in Manila; that the aforementioned schools attended by the petitioner are all recognized by the government and not limited to any race or nationality, furthermore, Philippine history, government and civic were taught or prescribed as part of the said school's curriculum; that he is gainfully employed at Azeus System Philippines Limited, a domestic corporation duly registered at the Securities and Exchange Commission to engage business in the Philippines; that he religiously reported his income and has regularly paid taxes to the Philippine government; that he is able to speak and write Tagalog, English and Chinese (Fookien); that he possesses all the qualifications and none of the disqualifications for naturalization as a Filipino citizen as required by law; that he is of good moral character and believes in the principle underlying the Philippine Constitution; that he has conducted himself in a proper and irreproachable manner during the entire period of his residence in the Philippines in his relations with the constituted government as well as with the community in which he has resided; that he mingled socially with Filipinos and has evidence a sincere desire to learn and embrace the customs, traditions and ideals of the Filipino; that petitioner do not opposed any organized government or affiliated with any association or group of persons who uphold and teach doctrines opposing organized government; that petitioner do not defend or teach the propriety of violence, personal assault or assassination for the success and predominance of men's ideas, that petitioner is not a polygamist neither a

believer in the practice of polygamy; that petitioner has never been charged or convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude; that he is not suffering from mental alienation or form of any incurable contagious disease; that the nation of which he is a Citizen is not at war with the

Philippines; that it is his intention in good faith to become a citizen of the Philippines and to renounce absolutely and forever all allegiance and fidelity to his foreign state or sovereignty and particularly to China of which at this time is a citizen; that he resided continuously in the Philippines from the filing of his petition up to the time of his admission to Philippine citizenship; that he is exempt from the requirement of submission of declaration of intention to become a citizen being born in the Philippines, having received his primary and secondary education in government recognized schools not limited to any race or nationality and for residing continuously in the Philippines for more than twenty five (25) years prior to the filing of the herein petition.

Further, the petition contains the names and post-office addresses of the witnesses whom petitioner desires to present at the hearing of the petition, attached also to the petition is the joint Affidavit of two (2) witnesses as required under Section 7 of Commonwealth Act. 473, as amended.

Finding the petition sufficient in form and substance, let the petition be set for initial hearing on October 24, 2013 at 8:30 o'clock in the morning, before this Court sitting at No. 52 Sisa St. Tinajeros, Malabon City. Notice hereby given to anyone who has objection to the petition to file his/her opposition thereto with statements of grounds therefore on or before the said date of hearing.

Let the notice of the initial hearing of this petition be published once a week for three (3) consecutive weeks in the Official Gazette and in a newspaper of general circulation on the province where petitioner resides. Further, let a copy of this order together with the petition and its annexes be served at the expense of the petitioner upon the Solicitor General, the Local Civil Registrar
