AMENDED NOTICE OF PETITION FOR PHILIPPINE CITIZENSHIP

TO: The Honorable Solicitor General, Office of the Solicitor General, 134 Amorsolo St., Legaspi Village, Makati City; Atty. Santos E. Torreña, Jr., Mc Arthur Highway cor. Sandawa, Matina, Davao City

WHEREAS, a verified petition was filed by SAM HENRY P. STRONG praying that he be admitted a citizen of the Philippines, which petition reads, as follows:

COMES NOW, the Petitioner and unto this Honorable Court, most respectfully avers:

1. That Petitioner is SAM HENRY PERRET STRONG, of legal age, American Citizen, married, and a resident of 140 Peacock St., Phase 2, Ecoland Subd., Matina Davao City; Copy of his Alien Certificate of Registration is hereto attached as Annex "A";

2. That he was born here in the Philippines on October 10, 1949 particularly at Zamboanga General Hospital, Zamboanga City to Helen Lily Perret, an American, and James Alfred Strong, an American but was later on Naturalized as a Filipino Citizen on January 30, 1976 as has been issued with Certificate of Naturalization No. 001457: That copy of the Certificate of the Petitioner issued by the Office of the City Civil Registrar of Zamboanga City is hereto attached as Annex "B" and the Certificate of Naturalization issued to the Petitioner's Father ius hereto attached as Annex "C"

3. That Petitioner, never left the country for good since his birth and until now;

4. That he studied here in the Philippines since his elementary days until he graduated his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical engineering degree from Siliman University, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental;

5. That to be specific, he studied in Perret Primary School at Kalaong, Maitum, Sarangani Province from 1956 to 1959 (Grades 1 to IV); That afterwards, he transferred to the Siliman University, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, for his Grade V from 1959 to 1960; That for his Grade VI,

He transferred at Milbuk Elementary School, Milbuk Palembang Sultan Kudarat from 1960-1961;

6. That he attended and completed his High School education at Ateneo de Zamboanga, Zamboanga City from 1961-1966;

7. That afterwards, he studied at Siliman University, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, and completed his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree therein; That copy of his Transcipt of Records is hereto attached as Annex "D";

8. That after he graduated from College, he worked at United States Ind. Phil. (USIPHIL) as Mindanao Service Manager from 1973 to 1985; That after he resigned from USIPHIL in 1985 and until now, he devoted his time to manage their farm known as JAS FARMS, located at kalaong, Maitum, Sarangani Province;

9. That he got married to Sofia Teresa Diago, a Filipino Citizen, on December 15, 1973 at Dumaguete, Negros Oriental; The copy of their Marriage Contract is hereto attached as Annex "E";

courses from established school(s)/ university(ies) recognized by the government where Philippine history, government and civics are taught as part of the school curriculum and wherein enrollment is not limited to pupils or students belonging to a particular race or nationality;

12. That he speaks and writes English, Filipino, Visayan and Chavacano dialects;

13. That he is qualified to file for Naturalization Proceedings as he lives here in the country continuously since birth and until now.

14. That he is financially stable having managed a big enormous farm he inherited from his parents and he is in no way, and has never been, a public charge to the government of the Republic of the Philippines and in the community in which he lives; 15. That he is of good moral character and believes in the principles underlying the Philippine Constitution and had conducted himself in a proper and irreproachable manner during the entire period of his residence in the Philippines in his relations with the constituted Government as well as within the community in which he lives; has mingled socially with the Filipinos and has evinced a sincere and genuine desire to learn and embrace their customs, traditions and ideals; That in fact being born here in the Philippines, he already embraced all the customs, tradition and ideals of a Filipino people; That he talks and acts like a Filipino already;

16. That he is not opposed to organized

government or affiliated with any association or group of persons who updhold and teach doctrines opposing all organized governments; that he does not defend or teach the

necessity or propriety of violence, personal assault, or assassination for the success and predominance of one's ideas; that he is not an anarchist, a polygamist or a believer in polygamy or in the practice of polygamy; that he has never been convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude; that he is not suffering from mental alienation or incurable contagious diseases; that he is not a citizen or subject of a nation at war with the Philippines;

17. That he has all the qualification required under Section 2, and none of the disqualification under section 4, of Commonwealth Act No. 473;

18. That his country of origin, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, is also granting the same right to those Filipino Citizens who want to become an American Citizens;

19. That it is his intention in good faith to become a citizen of the Philippines and to renounce absolutely and forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty; and particularly to the United States of America of which at this time he is a citizen or subject; that he will reside continuously in the Philippines from the date of filing of this petition up to the time of his admission to Philippine citizenship;

20. That he has not heretofore made any petition for citizenship before any court or before administrative body in accordance with RA No. 9139;

21. That MAXFEL N. BULLECER, of legal age, married and residing at 351-1 San Pedro Ext., Davao City and HONESTO B. CABACUNGAN, JR., likewise of legal age, married and residing at 909 Acacia St., Juna Subd., Matina, Davao City, who are both Filipino citizens and whose affidavits are

hereto attached and respectively marked as Annex "H" and Annex "I" and made integral part hereof, will appear and testify as witnesses at the hearing of this petition.

PRAYER

WHEREFORE, Petitioner most respectfully prays of this Honorable Court that he be admitted a citizen of the Philippines.

WHEREAS, attached to the instant petition are copy of his Alien Certificate of Registration (Annex "A"), Certificate of Birth of Petitioner (Annex "B"), Certificate of Naturalization issued to the Petitioner's Father (Annex "C"), copy of his transcript of Records (Annex "D"), Marriage Contract (Annex "E"), Certificate of Live Birth of his son Jason Nolan Diago Strong (Annex "F”), Certificate of Live Birth of his son Joseph James Diago Strong (Annex "G") Affidavit of witness Maxfel N. Bullecer (Annex “H”), and Affidavit of witness Honesto B.

Cabacungan, Jr. (Annex "I").

WHEREFORE, you are hereby given notice that the said petition will be heard by this Court, sitting at the Hall of Justice, Ecoland, Matina, Davao City, Philippines, on the the morning. 24th day of January, 2014 at 8:30 o'clock in

Let this notice be published at the expense of the petitioner in the Official Gazette, for three (3) consecutive issue thereof, and once a week for three (3) weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the city and provinces of Davao where the petitioner resides, and let said petition and this notice be posted in a public and conspicuous place in the Office of the Clerk of Court.

a. JASON NOLAN DIAGO STRONG, a Filipino Citizen, on February 9, 1975 at Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, as evidenced by his Certificate of Live Birth hereto attached as Annex "F";

b. JOSEPH JAMES DIAGO STRONG, a Filipino Citizen, on February 9, 1975 at Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental as evidenced by his Certificate of Live Birth hereto attached as Annex "G";

11. That his sons are both educated here in the Philippines and they already graduated their individual degrees / courses from established school(s) / university(ies) recognized by thegovernment where Philippine history, government and civics are taught as part of the school

curriculum and wherein enrollment is not limited to pupils or students belonging to a particular race or nationality;
