Sir:

I AM commanded by the Court of Directors of the East-India Company to acquaint you, for the information of the Board of Commissioners for the Affairs of India, that bills of exchange have been drawn from India to the amount of £14,743, 198. 9d., in discharge of the third instalment of the principal of septennial loan obligations, payable 18 months after date...

Adverting to the present amount of the unappropriated commercial profits of the Company, (viz. £1,898,448) the Court propose that the bills above mentioned shall be paid from that source, and they accordingly request the Board's sanction for that purpose, as on former occasions, agreeable to the 57th section of the Act 53 Geo. III.
