The breadth of A. I. is explored and explained in this best selling text. Assuming no prior knowledge,it covers topics like neural networks and robotics. This text explores the range of problems which have been and remain to be solved using A. I. tools and techniques. The second half of this text is an excellent reference.

But the orientation of the high region , compared to the set of available moves
and the directions in which they move , makes it impossible to traverse a ridge by
single moves . There are some ways of dealing with these problems , 3 . 2 .
In addition , every space is bounded on all sides by a set of two - dimensional
regions , called faces . ... s ) = f is some 2 - D bounding region of s PORTAL ( A ) =

Regions , on the other hand , are found by grouping similar pixels together . Edge
and region detection are computationally intensive processes , but ones that can
be readily mapped onto parallel hardware . The next step is to infer 3 - D ...

very poor book for novice.Assumes u already know AI and the language is not at all user friendly. One has to read a sentence repeatedly to get a grasp and some times even then u don't understand.Go for other books much better than this
