Arthur Rose or Ross, (son of Mr. Alexander Rose or Ross, of Easter Clune, parson of Birse, and chancellor of the diocese of Aberdeen), parson of Kynerny, and afterwards of Old Deer, was, in 1665, appointed parson of Glasgow; in 1675, consecrated Bishop of Argyll; in 1679, Bishop of Galloway; in the same year, Archbishop of Glasgow; and, in 1684, Archbishop of St. Andrews.
