1. Il fit en 1254 un voyage à la Cour de Mangou-Khan. Il abdiqua, en 1269, en faveur de son fils Léon III et se fit moine prémontré sous le nom de Macaire. I mourut le 12 déc. 1271, à Chypre. Le fils de Léon III, Hetoum II, qui devint roi en 1287, se fit Franciscain après un règne de 4 ans.
